Education
The basic structure of the Turkish National Education System consists of noncompulsory pre-school, compulsory primary, lower and upper secondary school, and higher education. The Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education is the responsible body for pre-university education and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is the public authority for higher education (www.yok.gov.tr , www.studyinturkey.gov.tr ).
