National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE) will hold the University Quality Assurance Forum 2026. The forum will take place online on Thursday, 1 October, 2026 (3:00pm-6:00pm JST / 6:00am-9:00am GMT), under the theme of “A Tectonic Shift in Quality Assurance of Higher Education II: Lessons We Should Draw Today from Developments in the UK and France.”
At this forum, NIAD-QE will welcome speakers from the Office for Students (OfS) in the United Kingdom and the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres) in France. Representatives from Japan’s certified evaluation and accreditation organizations will also be invited to participate in a panel discussion. Through these presentations and discussions, NIAD-QE aims to provide an opportunity to enhance the quality of discussion surrounding recent developments in university evaluation in Japan.
